One week left for Regional Growth Fund expressions of interest
The Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is reminding businesses in the Sheffield City Region that there’s just one week left until the Regional Growth Fund (RGF) round 3 deadline for expressions of interest.
Companies with robust plans for growth who want to be part of the RGF programme bid have until midnight on Friday 6 April to submit their expressions of interest to the LEP.
In particular, the LEP programme will allow suitable companies to submit bids lower than the £1 million RGF threshold. This can help both smaller companies and larger companies with smaller project.
Chris Scholey, a Private Sector LEP Board member, said: “I’m confident that the Sheffield City Region will produce a high quality programme bid which will support jobs and economic growth in the area.”
Richard Wright, executive director of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said: “Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are critical to the growth of the economy. We are pleased the LEP has identified the value of SMEs and developed a programme which will make the Regional Growth Fund more accessible to businesses of all sizes.”
Companies will be asked to submit a formal expression of interest to be part of this programme bid. Details of the scheme, timescales and key documentation can be found on the SCR LEP website: www.sheffieldcityregion.org.uk/regional-growth-fund
