Sheffield City Region LEP team to speak at Northern Growth Conference

Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Board member David Grey MBE and Director of Inward Investment, Ellen Cutler will speak today at the 8th annual Northern Growth Summit at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

Ellen Cutler will be presenting on creating conditions required for investment, focusing on how the Sheffield City Region’s Investment Team is working in partnership with local authorities to develop a hub for modern manufacturing and technology business – which already includes Boeing, Rolls-Royce and Firth Rixson.

Ellen said, “Sheffield City Region has demonstrable success in attracting inward investment. It takes the right combination of factors to attract investment and I will be discussing world class case studies.”

David will speak on a panel on how LEPs are driving growth in Northern local economies. David said, “For UK markets to grow it is important that we take advantage of overseas business opportunities. I look forward to discussing the work that the LEP is progressing to attract investors to and generate growth in the Sheffield City Region.”

Ellen and David will join over 200 economic development and regeneration professionals from across the private, public and voluntary sectors, as well as 30 high-level speakers to discuss and debate the latest regeneration, economic and social issues facing the North today.
