International audience for Sheffield City Region CDI sector
On 12 November Sheffield City Region (SCR) will be one of only three regions to present to an international trade delegation of 30 specialists on the growth of the creative and digital industry (CDI) in the region.
The presentation, to be held in the Park Plaza Hotel in London, will be led by the SCR Inward Investment team Ellen Cutler and Rhoda Watson joined by James Wilson, CDI specialist of Creative Sheffield.
The presentation will cover the capabilities of CDI in the region and opportunities for investors.
Lee Strafford, local entrepreneur and LEP Board member said:
“The region’s creative and digital sector is growing and there are nationally significant projects in the pipeline.
“World class businesses like WanDisco, Arm, Warp, BDP and Plusnet are located in the city region because of the low cost of living and high quality of life in an established community, a talent pool of over 100,000 students, modern facilities and digital infrastructure.
“We are promoting that message to a global audience.”
Deborah Egan Director of Electric Village and LEP Board member said:
