A new video has been produced to promote the Skills Made Easy programme and it is now available on YouTube.

The video was first shown at the official launch of the Skills Made Easy programme – which received widespread regional media coverage, including news broadcasts on BBC Look North and ITV Calendar.

LEP Chairman, James Newman and LEP Board Private Sector Skills Lead, Nigel Brewster both spoke at the launch event.

The 15 minute video has been created to show how both businesses and apprentices can benefit from the programme.

The video features a number of  interviews with businesses and apprentices in the Sheffield City Region that are part of this exciting new scheme. The interviews tackle some important questions, including “Why hire an apprentice?” and “What is your experience of apprenticeships?”

The video can be streamed from this website by clicking on the play button below:

Skills Made Easy is a new programme, funded through the City Deal, which puts control over training directly into the hands of employers in the Sheffield City Region. The programme  provides expert guidance on the choice of courses and training providers, which reduces hassle and keeps bureaucracy to a minimum.

The aim is to help small and medium sized companies across the Sheffield City Region to get the high quality training of the type they need, in the place they need it and at the time that they need it.  Whether it is recruiting apprentices or training the existing workforce, Skills Made Easy seeks to find the training solutions that employers need.
