Last week, the LEP invited the Sheffield City Region’s MPs to a Growth Plan event in London.

The event, held at Portcullis House on Tuesday 10 September, was attended by eight of the City Region’s 20 MPs.

LEP Chairman, James Newman and Executive Team Chief Executive, Ben Still discussed progress on the Growth Plan with the MPs.

The MPs were particularly keen to learn about the priorities that have been identified, following consultation with businesses, residents and organisations in the City Region.

These include how to better promote and sell the City Region, grow existing businesses, attract investment, accelerate improvement in education and skills, and encourage creativity and innovative ideas.
