Two new European Social Fund calls for proposals have been published by government on behalf of Sheffield City Region.

Community Innovation Grants is seeking projects to be appointed as accountable bodies to administer and award Community Innovation Grants.  The grant programme will support small community projects to work with local people and help them to develop their employability and secure work

Socially Inclusive Self Employment will provide support for people furthest from the labour market and non-traditional entrepreneurs to help them enter self-employment.

The calls are part of the city region’s social inclusion programme which aims to create a bridge for economically and social excluded people to contribute to their own and the region’s growth.

Improving Social inclusion will play a key role in creating conditions for growth by supporting the SCR skills base, labour mobility and educational performance and by promoting a culture of enterprise and resilience.

The deadline for both calls is 16 June 2016.
