The Big Lottery has launched its call for proposals for ‘Building Better Opportunities’ (BBO).

BBO is an important contributor to achieving the City Region’s social inclusion ambitions. The call for projects will invest £3.43 million to help local people  progress towards employment or self-employment as a community service. The funding is partly European Social Fund grant and Big Lottery’s own funding. There are two elements to the opt in “Holistic Support”, which will give personalised support to people who are currently out of the labour market and a pilot for  “Social Entrepreneurship”.

Organisations wishing to apply for funding should go the Big Lottery’s funding site:

The LEP has a Social Inclusion and Equalities Advisory Board, which has developed local intelligence to help organisations to understand the local context. Click to read our Social Inclusion Strategy Green Paper.

Applicants are advised to also read the LEP’s ESIF plans and the State of Sheffield 2015 report .
