Creative and Digital Industries
We’re reconvening the Group
The Sheffield City Region Creative and Digital Industries Sector Group will reconvene on Monday 17 June.
The LEP is inviting business leaders to the meeting where they will have the opportunity to find out more and express their interest in joining the group.
Why are we doing this now?
The Creative and Digital Industries Sector Group is part of the LEP’s network of nine Sector Group.
In April 2013, Professor Mike Holcombe from University of Sheffield stepped down as Creative and Digital Industries Sector Growth Forum Chairman.
The Economic Overview reinforced the importance of the Creative and Digital sector to economic growth and jobs in the Sheffield City Region.
This year, the potential impact of the Creative and Digital Industries Sector Growth Forum will be elevated to a new level, as the LEP Board starts work on the Sheffield City Region’s Economic Growth Strategy.
What does a Sector Growth Forum do?
The overriding purpose of the LEP Sector Group is to provide advice and to facilitate economic growth in the key growth sectors in the City Region -acting as official advisors to the LEP.
Have you got what we need to drive growth?
Sector Group members will have real influence over decisions which will drive economic growth in the Creative and Digital Industries sector in the Sheffield City Region.
The LEP is looking for the Sector Group to have a good mix of business people – to provide skills, experiences and insight from businesses which span the City Region.
Details for the meeting:
- Monday 17 June – 7.30-9.30am – Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre
