Sheffield City Region works to bring investment to the region into a single pot which will support economic growth and job creation. This is helping us to build a truly competitive centre of business excellence.
The way to get things done is through the Sheffield City Region. We use devolved Government funding and resources from the European Union to make our City Region a more attractive place to invest and grow business.
This funding supports a set of specific priorities, including infrastructure spending, funding to develop our training facilities, funding for businesses to grow, provision of a single point of contact for business support, skills support and incentives to employers to recruit apprentices as well as resources to unlock commercial developments across the city region and on our world class Enterprise Zones.
We’ve also just launched our Housing Fund as a key part of our aim to build 70,000 new homes by 2024, and are now inviting Expressions of Interest from public and private sector housing providers for those schemes which are struggling to attract funding. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 15 November.
To apply to the Housing Fund, or for further details, more information is available here.
