Claywheels Lane Sustainable Industries Park – Phase 1

The key towns and core city of the Sheffield City Region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The Sheffield City Region uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.

This phase of works is one of the largest brownfield sites in Sheffield where investment interest has been shown by companies in recycling and creating energy from waste, toegther with major users of energy such as steel manufacturers. LGF funding will unlock private investment, secure specialist recycling industries and create employment.

This project includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.

This investment is expected to deliver 55 jobs.

SCR LGF allocation: £1,511,917
Total project cost: £33,380,667

A full record of endorsements and approvals is held on file at Sheffield City Region offices.
