Doncaster Urban Centre – St Sepulchre West / Station Forecourt Phase 3
The key towns and core city of the Sheffield City Region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The Sheffield City Region uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.
This project is currently in development. The Combined Authority will consider the proposal through its usual project assurance framework to make sure that any investment unlocks economic growth and contributes to the Sheffield City Region’s ambitions to create 70,000 additional jobs, build 7,000 homes a year and create £3.1bn of additional GVA.
This Doncaster scheme (phase 3) aims to redevelop the station forecourt and access from St Sepulchre Gate. Works include relocating station parking, and improved pedestrian safety. The project links closely with Doncaster town centre’s masterplan.
This investment is planning to deliver 2,034 jobs.
Requested SCR LGF allocation: £1,600,000
