The key towns and core city of the Sheffield City Region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The Sheffield City Region uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.
The scheme aims to establish Central Riverside as a distinctive location for new businesses and improve links between the Riverside Business District, and city centre. It will also enhance the River Don and improve flood defences.
This project, which has completed, included a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.
This investment is expected to deliver 1,890 jobs.
