Junction 36 – Strategic Site Acquisition
The key towns and core city of the Sheffield City Region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The Sheffield City Region uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.
This project supports the acquisition of strategic employment land off the Dearne Valley Parkway to facilitate early delivery of the site, and contribute to housing and employment along the M1 J36 – A6195 Dearne Valley Economic Growth Corridor (Phase 1 Hoyland).
This project includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.
This investment is expected to deliver 126 net jobs.
