The Sheffield City Region Launchpad programme is part of our programme of business support. Whilst private sector jobs growth is powering our economy we still have an enterprise deficit – with fewer businesses starting, innovating, exporting or growing to their full potential.

To overcome this challenge we want to grow our business base by an additional 6,000 new businesses during the course of our 10 year Strategic Economic Plan.

We have, therefore, set up the Growth Hub to act as a single point of access for entrepreneurs and businesses seeking support to start and scale. A key part of our offer is the Launchpad programme. Providing free support to pre-start and new businesses in the Sheffield City Region, it is a new, fully inclusive programme designed to help ambitious entrepreneurs set up and run successful businesses and support SMEs under 2 years old to take the next step and grow their business.

The £4 million programme is delivered across the Sheffield City Region through a collaboration with the local authorities and Prince’s Trust. Developed in partnership with the Growth Hub, Launchpad brings together a wide range of start-up support services including access to free workshops and events and one to one support from business advisors and mentors.
