Ensuring that learners in our educational establishments have access to the best facilities is an important city region priority.
This investment helped to deliver a world class new National College for Advanced Transport & Infrastructure (NCATI) college. The NCATI vision is to deliver high level technical skills at level 4 and 5 in Railway Engineering and Technology. This will create a new elite institution to provide specialised facilities to deliver the high level technical skills needed for HS2, whilst having a broader offer to meet the recognised demand for an increased supply in high level technical engineering skills in the rail industry more generally and in the wider economy.
