The key towns and core city of the Sheffield City Region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The Sheffield City Region uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.
This project involves a key regeneration scheme in Chesterfield centre including rebuilding the Saltergate multi-storey car park, developing high-quality office space on Holywell Cross, comprehensive public realm improvements, and facilitating the redevelopment of the former Co-op building as a leisure.
This project includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.
This investment is expected to deliver 510 jobs.
