The key towns and core city of the Sheffield City Region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The Sheffield City Region uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment, including transport connectivity.
The Olympic Legacy Park includes the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre, the driver for investment in research and innovation in the health and wellbeing sector. This work brings the old Don Valley Stadium site back into use and will stimulate the market in the Attercliffe area.
This project, which has completed, included a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.
This investment is expected to deliver 938 jobs.
