The key towns and core city of the Sheffield City Region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The Sheffield City Region uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.
Supporting the development of Sheffield’s new retail quarter will help to bring new businesses, residents and investment into the heart of Sheffield’s urban centre. The project delivers a package of measures designed to enable and accelerate the successful development of the Sheffield Central Retail & Business District, creating and safeguarding jobs, and addressing city centre transport/accessibility issues.
This project, which has completed, included a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.
