Skills Bank is an innovative skills investment programme. Designed to support growth within businesses through investment in training, it provides flexible funding to deliver bespoke, tailored training. Driven by employer-need, approved ‘deals’ allow a business to decide who, how and where training is delivered.

Through our Growth Hub which offers specialist business support we have a team of Skills Advisors who can work with businesses to understand how an investment in training can support plans for growth, how to apply (where appropriate) for funding, and to connect with high quality training providers.

Please note, Skills Bank is currently closed for applications but is due to re-open soon. Register your interest for future funding by calling 03330 00 00 39 or emailing growthhub@sheffieldcityregion.org.uk

Calderdale College have been appointed to manage the project on behalf of Sheffield City Region and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the project including the management of a wide range of quality training providers who will offer training and support which is responsive to employer’s needs.

Information for Training Providers:

If you are a training and skills supplier and can offer responsive and bespoke training to employers, you may be interested in becoming a supplier to the Skills Bank programme.  Please take a look at the Expression of Interest which can be found here. Please note this is managed by Calderdale College, contact them at skillsbankproviders@calderdale.ac.uk

Provider Capacity Development Fund

To support our provider base to meet the training needs of local businesses we have launched round 2 of our ‘Provider Capacity Development Fund’. This fund is available for local skills/training providers to access if they can demonstrate their own and employer growth through the upskilling of their own staff.  Whether you are already a training supplier for the Skills Bank, or are considering getting involved in the Skills Bank programme, details of the scheme can be found here and an application form can be found here.
