Have your say on the future of South Yorkshire’s economy
The Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) are committed to building a stronger, greener and fairer South Yorkshire.
We are asking people and businesses from across the region to have their say on the region’s new Strategic Economic Plan (SEP). This plan is the region’s vision to grow the economy over the next 20 years.
The SEP primarily aims to address the longstanding structural and fundamental challenges in the South Yorkshire economy. The plan sets out how the region will build and sustain a competitive economy that unlocks growth and prosperity, creating a thriving South Yorkshire.
The SEP consultation opens today (3 August) and runs until Friday 18 September.

The MCA and LEP have published South Yorkshire’s Renewal Action Plan. It sets out how we will kick-start South Yorkshire’s social and economic fightback from the coronavirus pandemic, with an immediate £1.7bn investment in the region’s people, businesses and places. The Renewal Action Plan is a COVID-19 specific, jobs-led plan, focused on addressing the direct and indirect impacts of the pandemic. To read the Renewal Action Plan click here.
The SEP is designed to address the longer term, entrenched and systemic social and economic challenges in South Yorkshire.
