Are you a dynamic, bold and motivated individual with a passion for enterprise and economic growth? If so, we want to hear from you.
The Sheffield City Region (SCR) Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has begun recruitment for new board members who can help continue the growth of our region.
We’re looking for new members who can help to shape the economic strategy for the SCR, with a focus on delivery, to join other senior business leaders, the Mayor and council leaders on the board.
James Muir, Chair of the SCR LEP, said: “This is an important time for the LEP as we drive forward work on our new Strategic Economic Plan, which will be our blueprint for economic growth in the years to come.
“We’re now looking for new board members to bring new perspectives, fresh ideas, and enthusiasm and help support our ambitions for the region.
“Our LEP Board reflects the diversity of the Sheffield City Region in the broadest sense. LEP members come from different backgrounds across our local authority districts and offer a breadth of industry knowledge and expertise. I am keen to hear from people that can build on this diversity.”
The LEP plays a pivotal role in shaping local economic priorities and undertakes activities to drive economic growth and create jobs.
We’re keen to hear from business leaders with creativity, passion and energy to help us shape and deliver our strategy for economic growth.
Using your experience in the private sector, board members guide and support the development of strategies and economic plans for the Sheffield City Region.
You will represent the LEP’s interests and priorities to partners and stakeholders in the private and public sectors and work collaboratively with them to deliver a shared agenda for growing the economy.
The deadline for applications is Friday 14 February. This has now been extended until 5pm on Tuesday 18 February. For more information, please visit the website here
